After Catherine is confined to a chastity belt, she is promised the key on her wedding night. When her new husband loses the key, all - but the chastity belt - breaks loose.
The Key is a fantastical period piece that explores body autonomy, sexuality and female pleasure at a time where it was (a little) more than taboo to be sex positive. This film explores the gender boxes we are all put into and the constraints that come with it.

Stephanie Halovanić is a queer, Croatian American filmmaker based in New York City. A comedy director with a strong female perspective, Stephanie has collaborated with female comedians like Ilana Glazer, Heidi Gardner, Hannah Berner and Jameela Jamil.
Her debut absurdist short But Humble Sinners premiered at Austin Film Festival and went on to screen at festivals worldwide. Her second film, The Last Hurrah, starring Jess Gabor (“Shameless” "Christy") and Julia Rehwald (“Fear Street”), explores the blurry lines between female friendship.
In 2020, she founded Low Budget Women in Film, a community supporting female and non-binary artists making work with low to no budgets, believing money shouldn't keep people from making art and telling their stories.

Mia Rose Kavensky (She/Her/Hers) is an award-winning actor, writer, and producer. She is the writer, producer and lead actor in The Key. Her films have screened at over 20 festivals worldwide, including the Chelsea Film Festival, Big Apple Film Festival, and TBUFF (Best Screenplay nominee). She also earned Honorable Mention at New Faces New Voices in NYC for And Along Came Lily, a film about a midwestern gal having an orgasm for the first time.

After many years honing his craft performing live comedy throughout NYC, he emerged as one of the most popular and innovative comedians online, with over 6 million followers and over a billion views across Tik Tok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. He is known for his unique and varied characters, as well as his pitch perfect musical comedy songs.
